Property Management Residential - Avoid These Common Mistakes | Real Estate Blog – Niche Portfolio

Monday, April 16, 2012

Are you looking to buy an investment property? Well then now is the time to have the right understanding and expectations as a property owner. As professionals in the property management residential field, we present you with some important areas to be mindful of as they can often cause conflict and upset to property owners.

Wear and Tear
As professionals in the property management residential field, we’ve seen property owners become upset over wear and tear. Do expect light damage to woodwork and paintwork and expect natural aging to interiors and exteriors too.

Repairs and Maintenance
To maintain a good relationship with your tenants, it’s important to respond to them promptly if an item breaks down. It should be repaired within reasonable timings and if it cannot be repaired, it should be replaced quickly too as your tenants will act accordingly in return.

Rent Arrears
There should be no compromise when receiving rent on time. By being lenient, you risk substantial financial loss as tenants may take advantage of your lack of demand. It’s also important to invest in property insurance which can be organised through us.

These three tips should help you enjoy your valuable property investment even more!
